The RAKwireless RAK7268V2 / RAK7268CV2 WisGate Edge Lite 2 is a compact, professional-grade 8-channel indoor LoRaWAN® gateway for versatile deployments. With Ethernet (PoE), Wi-Fi, and optional cellular backhaul, plus a breathing-light status LED for at-a-glance monitoring, it delivers a solid out-of-the-box experience for smart buildings, offices, and factories.

It runs WisGateOS 2 — RAK's unified operating system with improved management, intuitive tooltips, and extension add-ons — and integrates with the WisDM platform for remote monitoring, control, and updates from anywhere. A built-in LoRaWAN network server and SD-card frame buffering make it equally suited to quick standalone setups and managed fleets.

Core Capabilities

8-Channel LoRaWAN Eight LoRa channels deliver dependable indoor coverage, with an RP-SMA antenna connector and support for a wide range of LoRaWAN regional bands.
Multi-Backhaul + PoE 100M Base-T Ethernet with PoE and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (also an AP for configuration), plus optional LTE Cat-4 cellular on the RAK7268CV2 model for sites without wired internet.
Built-In Server & Buffering A built-in LoRaWAN network server (1.0.3), Basics Station and Packet Forwarder modes, frame filtering, MQTT v3.1 bridging with TLS, and SD-card buffering so no frames are lost during a backhaul outage.
WisGateOS 2 & WisDM RAK's unified OS with extension add-ons and intuitive tooltips, plus remote monitoring, control, and updates through the WisDM platform — ideal for fleets across multiple sites.

Both variants are EU868. The CV2 cellular model uses a Quectel EG95-E LTE Cat-4 module (EMEA). Note: LBT-enabled variants do not support cellular.

Network servers: Built-in LNS (LoRaWAN 1.0.3); supports TTN, ChirpStack, and AWS IoT Core via Basics Station or Packet Forwarder; MQTT v3.1 + TLS.
Backhaul: 100M Ethernet (PoE) + 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (also a config AP); optional LTE Cat-4 on the CV2. RP-SMA LoRa antenna connector.
Resilience: SD-card log backup and LoRa frame buffering during a backhaul outage; node-whitelist frame filtering.
Power & management: 12 V DC or PoE (9–24 V DC model on request); WisGateOS 2 with remote management via WisDM.
Note: LBT-enabled variants do not support cellular.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which network servers does it work with?

It has a built-in LoRaWAN network server and supports all popular LNS platforms — including The Things Network, ChirpStack, and AWS IoT Core — via Basics Station or Packet Forwarder.

What's the difference between RAK7268V2 and RAK7268CV2?

Both have Ethernet (PoE) and Wi-Fi. The CV2 adds an optional LTE Cat-4 cellular module for backhaul where wired or Wi-Fi isn't available.

How is it powered?

By a 12 V DC supply (included) or 100M Ethernet with PoE. A 9–24 V DC input model is available on request.

What happens if the internet drops?

An SD card buffers LoRa frames in Packet Forwarder mode during a network-server outage, so no data is lost while connectivity is restored.

Can I use LBT and cellular together?

No — due to hardware limitations, LBT (Listen Before Talk) variants don't support cellular. If you need both, consider the WisGate Connect series.
