Description

The Seeed Studio SenseCAP M2 is a fully customizable, open-source 8-channel LoRaWAN® indoor gateway built on the Semtech SX1302 chip and MT7628 platform. It provides up to 10 km of LoRaWAN coverage and connects to virtually any network server — ideal for smart building, environmental monitoring, and precision-farming deployments.

It supports multiple LoRaWAN network servers (AWS, TTN, ChirpStack) via Packet Forwarder / Basics™ Station, plus a built-in ChirpStack network server for standalone use. Set up in minutes through the SenseCAP Local Console (Wi-Fi/Ethernet) or the SenseCAP Mate app and Portal, with Ethernet, PoE, Wi-Fi, and an optional 4G model.

8-Channel SX1302 — Up to 10 km 8-channel LoRaWAN on the SX1302 chip with −139 dBm sensitivity (SF12) and up to 26 dBm Tx power for up to 10 km of coverage. Supports LoRaWAN v1.0.3 Class A/B/C with a 3 dBi external antenna.
Multi-Platform & Open-Source Connect to AWS, The Things Network, ChirpStack, and more via Packet Forwarder / Basics™ Station, or run the built-in ChirpStack network server standalone. Open-source firmware lets you customise your own LoRaWAN solution.
Flexible Connectivity & PoE Backhaul over Ethernet (10/100 RJ45 with 802.3af PoE PD) or 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, with an optional 4G cellular model. PoE lets you power and connect over a single cable for faster, tidier deployments.
Easy Setup & Cloud Management Configure on a Web UI via the SenseCAP Local Console (Wi-Fi AP / Ethernet), or bind in four steps with the SenseCAP Mate app and manage remotely through the SenseCAP Portal.

Is the SenseCAP M2 a Helium miner?

No. It's a standard, multi-platform LoRaWAN gateway and does not support the Helium network or the SenseCAP Hotspot app/dashboard. It connects to LNS platforms like AWS, TTN, and ChirpStack instead.

Which network servers does it work with?

AWS IoT Core, The Things Network, ChirpStack, and others via Packet Forwarder / Basics™ Station — plus a built-in ChirpStack network server for standalone deployments.

Which variant should I choose?

Pick the regional model for your country (EU868, US915, or AS923 — each switchable across related bands), and choose Ethernet/Wi-Fi or the Ethernet/Wi-Fi/4G version if you need cellular backhaul.

How is it powered?

By DC 12 V / 2 A or 802.3af PoE over the Ethernet cable — handy for clean, single-cable installs.
