The Seeed Studio S-Multi Soil MTEC-01B is a professional-grade multi-depth RS485 (Modbus-RTU) soil sensor that simultaneously measures soil moisture, temperature, and electrical conductivity (EC) at four depths — 10, 20, 30, and 40 cm — giving a true 3D view of the root zone from a single probe.

Soil EC reflects salinity, a key driver of fertility and plant health: high salinity makes it hard for plants to take up water even when moisture is high. With high precision, an IP68 corrosion-resistant housing, and a calibrate-once design for permanent burial, the MTEC-01B suits water-saving irrigation, greenhouses, and environmental research.

4-Layer Multi-Depth Profiling Sensor nodes at 10, 20, 30, and 40 cm measure moisture, temperature, and EC at each depth — a three-dimensional root-zone profile that reveals how water and salinity move through the soil column.
High-Precision 3-in-1 Sensing Soil moisture 0–70% (±3%), temperature −30 to +70 °C (±0.5 °C), and EC 0–5000 µS/cm (±10%, extensible to 20,000 µS/cm). High sensitivity with reduced salinity interference for accurate readings across soil types.
Industrial RS485 Modbus-RTU Standard RS485 (Modbus-RTU) output integrates directly with data loggers, controllers, PLCs, and SCADA. Powered by 12–24 V DC at low current (20–40 mA), with <100 ms response and a 10-second start-up.
IP68 Rugged, Calibrate-Once Burial A high-quality, corrosion-resistant plastic housing rated IP68 lets the probe stay permanently buried — calibrate once for long-term, stable, real-time readings. Includes a 10 m cable with an aviation connector.
