Description

The AdvanGrid Gridmate is a compact LoRaWAN electricity monitoring sensor engineered for high-density sub-metering in industrial and commercial environments. Measuring just 100 × 85 × 22 mm and mounting directly on a standard 35 mm DIN rail, the Gridmate enables granular, per-circuit energy tracking across individual machines, floors, rooms, or sub-panels — all without cabling or process interruption. Using split-core current transformers for zero-downtime installation, it delivers Class B precision (EN 50470-3) measurements of voltage, current, active and reactive power, apparent power, power factor, and cumulative energy — transmitted wirelessly via LoRaWAN 868/915 MHz every 5 minutes to a centralised platform for analysis and reporting.

Core Capabilities

Comprehensive Power Measurement Simultaneously tracks voltage (V), current (A), active power (kW), reactive power (kvar), apparent power (kVA), power factor, and active energy (kWh, kvarh) by phase and in total.
Zero-Downtime DIN Rail Installation Plug-and-play split-core current transformers clip directly onto live conductors with no process interruption. Compact 22.5 mm width enables high installation density on standard DIN rails.
Fully Wireless LoRaWAN Connectivity Transmits energy data every 5 minutes via LoRaWAN 868/915 MHz with no cabling required. Adjustable reporting interval and payload support flexible deployment across large facilities.
Class B Precision & Wide Current Range Class B accuracy per EN 50470-3 with nominal current options of 40A and 200A, supporting up to 2000A (5000A on request). Starting current sensitivity down to 0.002×In.

Technical Integration

The Gridmate transmits measurements, time synchronisation, diagnostic, and configuration data over LoRaWAN 868/915 MHz to any compatible LoRaWAN network server or IoT platform. Direct voltage measurement via a 3×230/400V 4-wire, 3-element (3P4W) connection combined with split-core current transformers — with an optional Rogowski coil version for flexible conductor sizing — ensures accurate dual measurement of both current and voltage with Class B precision.
