The RAKWireless RAK7240V2 WisGate Edge Prime is a high-performance industrial outdoor LoRaWAN® gateway for large-scale network deployments. Built on the latest Semtech SX1303 LoRa core for better sensitivity and improved performance, it ships in a rugged IP65 full-metal enclosure with cable glands — ready for demanding outdoor sites.

This 8-channel EU868 model adds an LTE Cat-4 cellular module alongside Ethernet and Wi-Fi backhaul, plus GPS, for resilient connectivity anywhere. It runs WisGateOS 2 with a built-in LoRaWAN network server and remote management via WisDM, making it equally suited to rapid roll-outs and customised deployments.

Core Capabilities

SX1303 — 8 Channels The latest Semtech SX1303 LoRa core delivers better sensitivity and improved performance. This model provides 8 LoRa channels for dependable, long-range outdoor coverage.
Multi-Backhaul + GPS LTE Cat-4 cellular (EG95-E), 10/100 Ethernet, and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi keep the gateway online anywhere, with built-in GPS. External antennas for Wi-Fi, GPS, and LTE are included.
Industrial IP65 Build A full-metal IP65 enclosure with cable glands, 802.3af PoE plus surge protection, and a “dying gasp” alert. A DC 9–24 V power option with Battery Plus support is available for off-grid sites.
WisGateOS 2 & Built-In LNS A built-in LoRaWAN network server (1.0.3), Basics Station and Packet Forwarder modes, frame filtering, MQTT v3.1 bridging with TLS, frame buffering on NS outage, and optional fine timestamping — all managed via WisDM.
