PowerUC split-core current transformers open and clamp around an existing cable, so you can add energy monitoring to a live installation without disconnecting the conductor or stopping operations. They come in a range of apertures, current ratings and 1 A or 5 A outputs, from small circuits up to large cables and busbars, and connect to energy meters, power monitors and IoT current sensors.

How do I choose the right current transformer?
Check three things: the aperture must fit around your cable or busbar, the rated primary current must cover the circuit's maximum load, and the secondary output (for example 1 A or 5 A) must match the CT input of your energy meter or monitor.
Can a split-core CT be installed without shutting down power?
Split-core CTs are designed to clamp around a conductor without disconnecting it. Installation in electrical panels should still be done by a qualified electrician following local safety rules.
Which devices can I connect PowerUC CTs to?
Energy meters, power monitors and LoRaWAN or NB-IoT current sensors with a CT input that matches the CT output. Send us your meter model if you want us to confirm the match.
