Description

The RAKwireless Pulsar Cable (LMR400) is an RF interconnect cable for outdoor LoRaWAN gateways. LMR400 coax has lower signal attenuation than thinner standard coaxial cables, which helps the gateway keep its range and sensitivity over longer cable runs. Available in lengths from 1.5m to 10m, it lets you mount antennas in a good line-of-sight position while the gateway stays in a protected enclosure or indoor rack.

RF Performance & Durability

Wide Frequency Range Rated for 0-6 GHz operation, making it suitable for LoRaWAN (868/915 MHz), Wi-Fi (2.4/5 GHz), and Helium network deployments.
Outdoor Jacket Rated for temperatures between -40°C and +85°C with a UV-resistant jacket for long-term outdoor use.

Gateway Deployment Scenarios

• Antenna Offsetting: Relocate antennas to the highest point of a mast while keeping the gateway accessible for maintenance at a lower level.
• Indoor-to-Outdoor Bridging: Connect an indoor-mounted gateway to an external high-gain antenna mounted on a rooftop or tower.
• Antenna Placement: Reduce interference by placing the antenna away from heavy obstructions or other high-power RF equipment.
