RS485 is a two-wire serial bus that runs over long cable lengths (up to about 1,200 m) and is the standard physical layer for Modbus RTU. This collection includes RS485 / Modbus RTU sensors for soil, water quality, weather, gas and level, energy meters, and converters that send RS485 data over LoRaWAN or NB-IoT.

Modbus RTU devices use configurable baud rates and addresses, so they connect to existing SCADA, BMS and PLC systems as well as to wireless converters. See LoRaWAN controllers and bridges.
