Description

The Milesight EM400-TLD is a LoRaWAN Distance Sensor that uses Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser technology for accurate distance readings. Unlike traditional ultrasonic sensors, the TLD model has a narrow 27° Field of View (FOV), making it effective for monitoring fill levels in small waste bins or narrow containers where wall reflections typically cause errors. Equipped with a 3-axis accelerometer and an NTC temperature sensor, it also reports lid-opening events, container tilt, and fire alerts. Its low power consumption and IP67 waterproof rating make it a practical choice for smart city and industrial logistics deployments.

Laser Distance Monitoring

Waste Bin Monitoring Laser ToF measurement is less affected by ambient noise and object colour, giving consistent readings in dark or high-vibration waste environments.
Fire & Tilt Alerts Integrated sensors send uplink alerts for container burning (fire detection) or if the bin has been knocked over or moved.
