Description

The CESVA TA120 is a Class 1 noise measuring sensor for continuous environmental noise monitoring, built to IEC 61672-1. It measures LAeq over a 35-120 dBA range, 24 hours a day, and sends the results to your monitoring platform over Ethernet, Wi-Fi or a 2G/GPRS modem.

It is designed for municipalities, smart city operators and environmental consultants who run noise surveillance networks around roads, nightlife areas, construction sites and industrial boundaries. The TA120 mounts on street lights, facades and billboards and needs little routine maintenance.

Core Capabilities

Class 1 Measurement LAeq to IEC 61672-1 Class 1, with a selectable second parameter (LCeq, LAFmax or LASmax) and integration times from 1 s to 60 min.
Flexible Connectivity Ethernet (RJ45) as standard, with Wi-Fi, a 2G/GPRS modem or a 4-20 mA current loop module as options. Data is sent over HTTP or HTTPS.
Many Power Options Runs from mains, PoE, 12 VDC or the street lighting network, with an optional internal battery and solar panel kit for sites without permanent power.
Outdoor Ready With the TK120 outdoor kit and windscreen, the sensor reaches IP65 to IEC 60529 and operates from -10 to +50 °C.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Class 1 mean?

Class 1 is the higher precision class defined in IEC 61672-1 for sound level meters. The TA120 measures to Class 1 so its readings can be used for formal environmental noise monitoring.

What is the measurement range?

35 to 120 dBA in a single range, measured continuously 24/7.

Can it run without mains power?

Yes. It can run from 12 VDC, PoE or the street lighting network. With the BA120 internal battery and the PS120 solar panel kit it can operate at sites with no permanent supply.

Which platforms does it work with?
