What's the difference between iBTS Compact and Standard?
The Compact is a turnkey, light form factor with built-in mono/dual-WAN backhaul and integrated GPS + cellular antennas. The Standard adds modularity and antenna diversity for even greater Rx/Tx scalability.
Can it locate devices without GPS chips?
Yes — it's fully compatible with LoRa-native geolocation (TDOA), so end devices can be located by the network without their own GPS.
How is it powered?
By Power-over-Ethernet (30 W, 48 V DC Class 4) or DC input 11–56 V (e.g. solar). Backup batteries allow a clean shutdown during power cuts. PoE/power accessories are sold separately.
What backhaul does it use?
Built-in mono- or dual-WAN backhaul with an integrated 2G/3G/4G cellular modem and Ethernet, for resilient connectivity.
How is it managed?
Remotely via Kerlink's Wanesy™ Management Plane and Management Center, with embedded BSC/RNC functions, secure boot, and encrypted backhaul.
