The Kerlink Wirnet iFemtoCell is a compact, high-performance indoor LoRaWAN® gateway designed for smart buildings, smart cities, and any project that needs dedicated deep-indoor coverage or network densification. It delivers superior coverage in demanding environments — basements, car parks, elevator shafts — to reliably connect energy meters, parking sensors, and equipment actuators.

Built on the proven Wirnet i-Series platform with built-in high-rejection filters and a hardware secure core, it pairs dependable RF performance with operational excellence. Wi-Fi and Ethernet backhaul, simple installation, and remote management through the Kerlink Wanesy™ Management Center make it quick to deploy and easy to operate at scale.

Superior LoRa Radio Built on Semtech Reference Design v1.5, with 8-channel RX (125 kHz, multi-SF) plus 250/500 kHz, FSK, and TX channels — 10 RX + 1 TX. Rx sensitivity down to −141 dBm (SF12), Tx 5–27 dBm, with built-in high-rejection filters and LBT.
Wi-Fi + Ethernet Backhaul Backhaul over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (with an integrated Wi-Fi antenna) or 10/100 Ethernet (RJ45). A WPS push button makes joining a wireless network quick and easy.
Hardware-Grade Security A hardware secure core with SecureStorage via ProvenCore™, OpenVPN/IPsec backhaul protection, optional SecureBoot (signed firmware), and watchdog recovery to a known-good configuration.
Easy to Deploy & Manage Configure and monitor remotely via the Wanesy™ Management Center and Web GUI (SSH access included). Optional Wanesy™ SPN2 embeds a LoRa Network Server on the gateway for standalone private networks.

Power: Included AC/DC supply (230 VAC / 12 VDC, 5.5×2.5 mm jack); optional 24 h UPS accessory.
Programmable: KerOS (GNU/Linux) with Python, C/C++, and Shell; SMA/RP-SMA LoRa connector with a bundled 3 dBi swivel antenna; shared software with the Wirnet™ iBTS and iStation.
Band: EU868 model (SKU PDTIOT-IFE00) — also covers IN865-867 and RU864-870.

No — the iFemtoCell uses Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz) and Ethernet backhaul. If you need an internal 3G/4G module, choose the Wirnet iFemtoCell-evolution instead.

By the included AC/DC supply (230 VAC / 12 VDC, 5.5×2.5 mm jack). An optional UPS accessory provides up to 24 hours of backup autonomy.

Can it run a network server on-device?

Yes, with the optional Wanesy™ SPN2 (Small Private Network), which embeds a LoRa Network Server on the gateway for standalone, self-operating networks.

Is it suitable for deep-indoor sites?
