The Milesight WS202 PIR & Light Sensor is an advanced device designed to integrate human presence detection with brightness measurement, offering a smart solution for efficient and automated control in various environments. Part of the CoWork Series, the WS202 is especially suited for smart office settings, residential applications, and other areas where automated lighting and occupancy detection can enhance energy efficiency and user experience.
The WS202 utilizes a powerful combination of Passive Infrared (PIR) detection and accurate brightness measurement. This allows the sensor to effortlessly determine the occupancy or vacancy status of an indoor area, as well as the brightness level, enabling intelligent lighting control. When integrated with the Milesight WS50x Wall Switch or WS558 Smart Light Controller, the WS202 can automate lighting based on human presence, turning lights on when people enter and off when they leave.
The sensor operates using the Milesight D2D (Device to Device) communication protocol featuring LoRa®, enabling communication among different Milesight LoRaWAN® node devices without a LoRaWAN® gateway. This feature offers lower latency, less than 1-second response time, and secure transmission, all while reducing investment costs.
The WS202 also stands out for its ultrawide range detection capability, with a 120° horizontal and 100° vertical detection area, and up to 8 meters in distance. It is powered by a 1650 mAh ER14335 Li-SOCl2 battery, ensuring a long battery life of around 4 years, making it a low-maintenance choice for various applications.
