The RAKwireless Outdoor Cavity Band-Pass Filter is an RF accessory that boosts LoRaWAN gateway performance in high-interference environments. It allows only the target LoRa band to pass while attenuating out-of-band signals such as LTE, 5G, radar, and industrial noise — so your gateway hears genuine LoRa traffic, not the surrounding RF clutter.
Built on a high-Q resonant cavity design, this EU868 (863–870 MHz) model isolates the band with >70 dB out-of-band rejection and just <2.5 dB insertion loss, keeping LoRa signal strength intact. Standard N-Female ports and an IP67 body make it a drop-in upgrade for urban and industrial outdoor deployments.

What does this filter do?
It's a high-Q cavity band-pass filter that passes the LoRa band while rejecting out-of-band LTE, 5G, radar, and industrial noise — improving gateway reception and reducing packet loss at high-interference sites.
Which band is this version?
EU868 (863–870 MHz). The product family also offers US915, IN865, AU915, KR920, AS923-1/2/3/4, and CN470 variants — contact us if you need a different band.
How much interference does it reject, and at what cost to signal?
More than 70 dB of out-of-band rejection with under 2.5 dB insertion loss and VSWR <1.25, so it cuts interference while preserving LoRa signal strength.
How is it installed?
Inline on the antenna feed: connect Port 1 (N-Female) to the gateway and Port 2 (N-Female) to the antenna, then bond the ground pad to a low-impedance earth.
Why should I ground it?
The ground pad provides ESD and surge protection and is strongly recommended. For full lightning protection, pair it with a dedicated surge arrestor.
Is it suitable for outdoor use?
Yes — it's IP67-rated and operates from −40 °C to +65 °C, built for permanent tower and rooftop installation.
