The RAKWireless RAK7289 WisGate Edge Pro is an industrial outdoor LoRaWAN® gateway built for large-scale, professional IoT deployments. Powered by the Semtech SX1303 LoRa core with 8 channels, it delivers reliable long-range coverage in the harshest environments, all in a rugged IP67/NEMA-6 enclosure.

With integrated internal antennas for Wi-Fi, GPS, and cellular, and multi-backhaul over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and optional LTE, the WisGate Edge Pro keeps your network connected anywhere. It runs WisGateOS 2 with a built-in LoRaWAN network server and remote fleet management via WisDM, making it equally suited to standalone private networks and large managed deployments.

Multi-Backhaul ConnectivityConnect over Ethernet, Wi-Fi, or the LTE Cat-4 module (EG95-E, EMEA) on the RAK7289CV2. Internal antennas for Wi-Fi, GPS, and cellular keep installs clean; only the LoRa antenna mounts externally.

Choosing Your Variant

Model Channels Cellular Best For
RAK7289V2 8 No LTE Standard coverage with wired/Wi-Fi backhaul.

Both variants are EU868. The CV2 cellular model uses a Quectel EG95-E LTE Cat-4 module (EMEA). One LoRa antenna is needed.

Network servers: Built-in LNS (LoRaWAN 1.0.3); also ChirpStack, The Things Stack, AWS IoT Core, and Actility via Basics Station or Packet Forwarder.
Backhaul: Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and LTE Cat-4 on the CV2 model; 8 channels on the SX1303 core.
Power: 12 V DC or 802.3af PoE (do not connect solar directly, overvoltage risk); optional Battery Plus for off-grid/solar.
Edge features: Frame filtering, frame buffering on NS outage, optional LBT, fine timestamping, MQTT v3.1 + TLS.
Management: WisGateOS 2 with extension add-ons and remote management via WisDM.

What's the difference between RAK7289V2 and RAK7289CV2?

RAK7289V2 has no cellular; RAK7289CV2 adds an LTE Cat-4 module (EG95-E) for cellular backhaul where wired or Wi-Fi isn't available.

Both variants listed here are 8-channel gateways on the Semtech SX1303 core, which suits most deployments.

How is it powered?
